companion animals: spay/neuter
We have been helping municipal governments to draft and implement spay/neuter legislation that addresses the pet over-population problem. We have run projects in several communities to educate the public on the importance to spay/neuter legislation, to help people to adhere to the law, and to provide financial aid so people can afford to spay or neuter their pets. This has been a hugely successful program, resulting in the spay/neuter of hundreds of animals that might otherwise have been breeding year after year.
