bring your dog to work day!
Date: October 20, 2006
Imagine being allowed to bring your dog to work for one day, while supporting a good cause. Now you can!
Friday, October 20, 2006 is Bring Your Dog To Work Day!
For one day companies permit their employees to bring his/her dog to work provided they signed up in advance. Each dog costs a $10 "admission". All proceeds are donated to Vancouver Humane Society.
- The benefits to your company include:
- A boost in morale for employees
- An acknowledgement on VHS’ website and in our newsletter
- Possible media attention (we will be issuing a news release)
- Positive public relations for supporting a local charity
VHS also hopes the day will encourage doggy guardians to consider how they can spend more time with their animal friends. Dogs left behind while their guardians are at work may become anxious or depressed. Sometimes bending the rules of traditional no-pet policies can be a great benefit not only to us but our canine counterpart as well!
Talk to your human resources manager or supervisor to ask if your company can participate.
