The Greater Vancouver Zoo is facing questions after the death of a baby giraffe there on June 29, eight days after it was born. The zoo waited a week before reporting the death. The BC SPCA is investigating the giraffe’s death and will try to find out why the zoo decided to breed an 18-year-old animal that had never given birth before.
