Tina Update

We just received very sad news that Tina the elephant passed away last night, Wednesday July 21st 2004. She was 34 years old.
Tina began having motor problems late last week. On Wednesday she lay down on the floor, and died shortly there after. The cause of her death is still unknown at this time.
We would like to thank all the people who helped make Tina's last year of life the best it could be. Her life at the Elephant Sanctuary in Tennessee was significantly happier and healthier than the 30 years she spent at the Greater Vancouver Zoo.
Tina will be greatly missed by all of us here at the Vancouver Humane Society.
